November 17, 2020: Residential Home Visitation Policy Update

Effective immediately: due to the dramatic increase of Covid-19 cases in Maryland, Bayside Community Network, Inc. has made the difficult decision to modify our visitation policies regarding our Residential Homes:

  • All face to face visitation at Bayside Residential Homes is suspended until further notice.
  • Thanksgiving holiday visits and/or travel involving Bayside Residential Consumers is suspended until further notice. If you had made prior arrangements for holiday visitation, please contact your Program Coordinator.

We strongly encourage our Bayside Families to engage with their loved one virtually through FaceTime, Skype, Google Meet, or any chosen platform. Each of our Residential Homes is equipped with the technology and tools needed to manage remote visits and we look forward to virtually visiting you!

At Bayside, we pride ourselves on prioritizing the health, safety, and well-being of our Bayside Consumers above all else. We recognize the trust that our Bayside Family has placed in our agency to keep their loved one safe and healthy during the health pandemic. Bayside intends to honor that trust with these specific visitation policies, in addition to our existing Covid-19 policies and protocols.

We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in following the updated visitation policies.

We will get through this together!

November 14th, 2020: Day Program/Services Update
To our Bayside Families and Employees:

The COVID-19 positivity rate quickly increased over the weekend above 6%. In an effort to do our part to slow the spread and protect our Consumers and Staff, we have made the difficult decision to close our Day Program for all in-person services/classes November 14th, 2020-December 7th, 2020.

Transportation services and Job Coaching: services will continue without change.

Day Program Staff: Report to your inclement weather home unless otherwise notified.

Administration Staff: Report to the office on November 16th, 2020 for further instruction.

Training: scheduled trainings will continue without change.

Prior to December 7th, 2020, Bayside will review the positivity rate and make the determination at that time if it is in the best interest of all to return.

We encourage our Consumers to participate in our daily virtual learning classes and activities through our ‘Bayside Connected’ tab. If you need assistance connecting to the classes, please contact our main office at: 410.398.6394

Stay safe, stay well, wear a mask and wash those hands-we will see you soon!

Bayside Community Network, Inc. is committed to the health, safety and well-being of our entire Bayside family. As the situation regarding the Coronavirus-19/COVID-19 changes and evolves, our organization will continue to update our protocols to meet the needs of the individuals we serve.

For information about the procedures being implemented in each of our program areas, please review the ‘Coronavirus-19’ information tab.

Updates, as they occur, will be posted as an ‘Alert’ on our front page and will also be available under the ‘Coronavirus-19’ information tab.

Bayside Community Connects, is a YouTube channel that has been established to give our consumers the opportunity to access meaningful day programming in the comfort of their home. During the next few weeks, while our Meaningful Day Program is closed, we would like to give our consumers and their families the opportunity to access some of  our enrichment classes. Our goal is to help our consumers maintain the skills that they have been working on and also give them an opportunity to build on existing skills. Consumers will have the opportunity to interact in a Hands-On activity one to two times daily. These activities will be recorded so that consumers along with their families can access them at their leisure.  Bayside Community Connects will also give our families a snippet of what we do on a day-to-day basis at Bayside Community Network’s Meaningful Day Program.

Thank you for your patience as we all work together to establish new procedures during these difficult times
